<< Guys, the problem here is the arbitration system... basically, a player
goes in and says how great he is, and how should be paid this much,

to pay him this much because so and so had better stats but makes much
less... its an adversarial system, and always leaves hard feelings.
There has to be a better way... >>
Perhaps if there was no face-to-face hearing, and each side submitted a
written case to the arbitrator, there would be no hard feelings. Of course,
if the NHL had a salary cap, Player X would not be making a ridiculous amount
of money that would make the player going to arbitration feel jealous and not
treated fairly.
