Marty could very well have been playing hurt. They mentionned it on =
CBC and he was grimacing after one shot.....>>
I heard he got injured in practice, even before the game. I tend to =
agree that he was hurt because that was pretty 'off' by his =
standards.... seemed slow to react to shots and did not really use his =
hands much. Although, the next question would be, if he were that =
injured, WHY was he playing? Granted, a rusty Beezer in net wouldn't be =
my ideal situation either, but neither is a hurt Brodeur.
Still, that's no excuse...for some reason the rest of the team just =
didn't show up to play last night. I think, like in game 1, for whatever =
reason...they expected to walk away with it. I think they can come back =
and win it in 7...if they bring their best game.>>
Of course they CAN win.. will they?? Who knows. Not if they show up =
like they did last night! Of course, the Avs haven't particularly =
impressed me so far. I couldn't believe how bad they looked in Game 5! =
And Avs have looked more uptight at home than on the road in this =
series, much like NJ :P. Of course, now they KNOW they have a chance to =
win it 'for Ray' at home and that gives them added incentive.. Devs must =
try to score the 1st goal and try to get a couple of goals first, imo. =
Take the Avs fans right out of it and the Avs will feel pressure to come =
from behind. =20
They CAN do it I tell ya!!! Quote from Marty on game 6: "Well, at =
least we saved our energy." Wouldn't be sweet to watch Ray lose at =
home?!?!?! *cackle*>>
Yes, I do think that would be nice :) to see them lose in front of =
their own fans. I am kinda pessimistic though. Ugh. Why can't this team =
ever make it easy on the fans? They drive me nuts.
