2001 Draft Day Party Set For June 23
Presented by FOX Sports Net New York

The New Jersey Devils’ Sixth Annual Draft Day Party 2001, presented by FOX 
Sports Net New York, will take place on Saturday, June 23, 2001, from noon 
until 3:30      p.m. at the New York Giants Football “BUBBLE” in East 
Rutherford. Please park in lot 6E. Doors will open around 11:30am.

Devils / WABC 770 AM radio Play-by-Play announcer Mike Miller and Color 
Commentator Randy Velischek will co-host the event which is open to all 
fans, free-of charge. The first round of the draft will be shown on TV 
monitors, and fans will be able to listen to interviews with the Devils 
first round selection and other team personnel from the draft floor at the 
National Car Rental Center in Sunrise, Florida. Other activities will 
include video highlights of past Devils’ draft choices, interactive games, 
outdoor games for children and adults, raffles and giveaways. The Devils’ 
mascot will also be on hand to sign autographs and take pictures.

The Entry Draft gives each team the opportunity to select prospects from a 
talent pool throughout North America and Europe, ensuring that the world's 
best players will be competing in the National Hockey League.
