      Hey remember me ??? :p....well it's good to get back for a game
or two and I'd better get in the feel of this again since Julie's going
to Michigan next week and I'm back on my own with this and the
lil hot streak we got going, and sorta fitting that this is prolly the
best team standing in the Devils way of this streak....and yes I DO
realize who's on the schedule on Sunday :p

Pre-Game Notes:

-- at least Larry Robinson has things in good perspective with this
    streak and plans to split the rest of the starts this season between
    Marty and the Beezah which means FINALLY a backup who PLAYS !!!
    Like tonight for example :)
-- Devils Coach Larry Robinson downplayed the streak, which matches the
    5th-longest in NHL history. "I think that the thing I want to focus on 
is very
    similar to what I did last year before the playoffs. And that was to 
just get

    ......New Jersey also has won six in a row at home, two short of the club
    record, AMAZING the difference a small year makes considering where this
    team was just one year ago :)...to the DAY actually of the oh so important
    change from throwing benches to running a team from behind one, and we
    all know where it went from there :)

    playoffs for the first time since 1996, the Canucks moved into sole
    possession of fifth place in the Western Conference, two points ahead
    of San Jose and Edmonton.

stopped and cleared !!!

but spins so well he loses the puck !!! Arnott sees this and follows
and gets the puck as Elias cuts to the net....Arnie the pass on the
tape....Elias cuts...dekes.....beats Essensa with the stick move wide
but muffs on the puck as he went to toss it over Essensa....good thing
he DID tho cause Essensa lunged his glove high and Elias beats him
low !! oops ??? :)
-- Sedin....Henry that is :p....all but hogtied Arnott on that next rush and
    he sits for it !!

    and a VERY rare pp that the Devils do little one...it's ok tho :)

back to Madden...FIRES A LOW ROCKET.....Stone Hands in front
puck bounces off his stick and skate as he tries to jump out of the
way...and it redirects it JUST ENOUGH to beat Essensa !! that HURTS !!!

-- just to let you know how HARD Madden's shot it....that grazed McKenzie
    and he's in the locker room getting repairs as the period ends !!!

-- just ANOTHER reminder that the HS hockey finals for NJ are in the Swamp
    tomorrow....and I keep saying it...if you can go.....GO DAMMIT !!
    it may be the best hockey you see all year and for $10 how can you
    go wrong ??? And since 5 people WILL ask :p....yes !/we are GOING
    it's general admission....just shut up and SHOW up !!!! We'll be by the
    press box !!!

Arnie and Petrrrrrr play catch along the left faceoff dot.....they
cycle and Arnott cuts to the left of the net.....and Sykora to the
right.....Arnie....centers....Sykora jams at it....and...it....just....
finds....it's....way....over....the line !!!!!!! Well odds are this goal
won't count a hell of a lot Petr :p

-- and Gomez and Berehowsky in some needed display of Machismo
    as neither's gonna take the other's guff :p....and both go to the box
    for it !!

    but it goes away quietly with only one shot from Gomez on a nice feed from
Mogilny !!!
-- this game's gonna need to do something to make me get out of scoring
    summary mode and ONE scoring chance on the Beezer in 5:00 ain't
