Here is what I think.

1) I think the Devils need to establish themselves a "citied" team or an 
idenity. Newark is the real capital of NJ, and there is no better place. The 
Arena will be the cornerstone a much needed facelift of the city. I tend to 
refer to Baltimore which the area around the Camden Yards is MUCH nicer than 
it used to be. 

2) Corporations. Anyone who passes the proposed arena site knows the backdrop 
if sits on. Prudential, First Union among the many others along with 
Continental and like I said others, will purchase tons of seats and luxury 
boxes. This in turn will fill the seats, the boxes, our team with some money, 
and an identity of the organization.
