So, there was an article about the corporate greed manifestation aka Metro
in the Ledger today. It was decent but it did attack fans. At one point it
went:
"That's America. And that's how fans get caught in the sting. They aren't
owed televised games; that isn't in the Bill of Rights."
One part that he failed to mention is that many cable operators charge
extra for Sportschannel and these people get screwed even more.

Also, from a few of today's papers:
Playoff tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday at the Meadowlands Arena box
office and Ticketmaster. Tickets are only sold in eight-game strips,
covering the first two rounds and ranging in price from $360 to $640 per
strip ($45 to $80 per ticket).
I think a 2.5 multiplier on the cheap seats is too much for first round
games and barely acceptable for second round games.
It was good to see them bounce back well against a crappy team. Our magic
number for clinching the Patri...errr....Atlantic is 4 over Philly. We
can cut it to 2 with a win tonight. Our magic number to clinch a 1 or 2
seed (assuming we win the division) is one point over Washington. With one
more point we can also clinch no lower than a 4 seed. And, just for
completeness sake, our magic number over Ottawa to clinch the top
spot is 12.
I was just looking at the standings to get the magic numbers and the
balance on this team is amazing. Their home and road records are
practically identical with one more win/less loss and home.
