Come on Chicken Little. The sky is not falling. He said nothing new. He
simply reiterated what was said before. If they don't get an arena in
Newark they will consider moving elsewhere. They can't go anywhere until
2007 so I doubt the players are giving it any thought at all.
I think an arena in Newark is pretty much a given, but since the "acting
Governor" is not as in favor of the idea as Whitman was they have do some
more work to put pressure on the government to get it done.
In other news, we signed Ari Ahonen, Martin's heir apparent, to a
contract. He will play a few more games with his Finnish team and then
come to America.
NHL.com has a map showing which markets get what game today. The only
people getting the Devils game are the Tri-State area and the Cincinatti,
OH metro area for some reason. It is also interesting to note that most of
PA gets the Penguins and not the Flyers.
