Our PK has been crap so I debate how great Pando has been on the PK.
PP Stats for our opponents:
Pit, game 1, 1 for 2
Tor, game 7, 1 for 2
Tor, game 6, 2 for 6
Tor, game 5, 1 for 4
Total: 5 for 14, that is better than 35%. That is very bad.
I don't believe for a second that Pandolfo was not out there for a good
portion of those goals. I'm not saying that all the goals were all his
fault. I am implying that just because ESPN says he is a good PKer does
not make it so.
Also notice that these are games w/o Niedermayer. As a way of comparison,
here are the last four games before (during) Niedermayer's injury
Tor, game 4, 0 for 5
Tor, game 3, 1 for 3
Tor, game 2, 0 for 4
Tor, game 1, 1 for 3
That's 2 for 15 or 13%. That is still not great but a hell of a lot better
than post-Niedermayer.
