They did the moves they needed to do this summer. Nothing more, nothing less. 
We weren't going to see Elias and Brodeur signed to extensions. Holik cryed 
as a result of the business. Is Lou "archaic" in his negogiation tactics, 
absolutely. On both sides, one it has worked. But then again, he needs to 
start signing these guys to money/year contracts. He could complain about the 
lack of cash to deal with, but that is his own fault. He and the organization 
do absolutely nothing to generate revenue, and then bitch about it. Winning 
doesn't fill seats, presentation of the product does. Onto Marty, I am very 
concerned about him. I don't think he is Marty anymore, this coming from one 
of his biggest fans and an idol goaltender of mine. He was just godly aweful 
in the playoffs last season, and who knows??? Maybe this Ahonen or Damphousse 
guys are our goalies in two 3-4 years from now, and not Brodeur. And maybe 
Lou knows that.
