I just want to let everyone know what a joke security is. When I went to the game last week against the Islanders, they used a metal detector before I got into the perimiter of the arena, and then again after I went through the turnstile. I had a gift bag with my friend's birthday present in it with me. If I wanted to get something in, I could have. They did look in the bag, but didn't concern themselves with what was wrapped in tissue paper. (Although, it wasn't metal, so it wouldn't have set off the detectors.) My purse has a metal design on it, and as I walked into the arena, it set off the wand. I offered to open my purse, and they said, "No, it's OK." How do they know I wasn't hiding a gun in there? By the way, I enter Gate C every game.

Tonight the security was only using the metal detector at the fence before you enter the perimiter of the arena. (Again, this is by Gate C.) As for cameras, I believe the gentlman on line behind me with 2 or 3 young boys was allowed through with his camera. It didn't take him too long to get through, as I heard them right behind me as I walked in. My friend had a bag with her that could be a large purse, but she had books & papers in it. I didn't ask her about how she got it through.

I'm pretty upset that I can't take my backpack in, because it always has at least my media guide, walkman, binocculars and camera and I throw my purse in it to make it easier. I am going to try bringing it to the next game, because I am tired of this. I know it's for everyone's protection, and they can search my bag if they want. But if security for my purse is this lax, there's no reason I shouldn't be able to go back to my routine.

And what's this about checking cell phones? I've been to two games and my cell phone wasn't looked at either time. Last game I might have had it in my pants pocket covered by my jersey, but this time it was on the outside of my purse. It's nice to know that there's soooo much consistency. And my wait was minimal, although it is the "back" of the arena and I got there at 7:30, so I don't think I had to deal with as many other fans as you.

Security:

>It was tight. Before you entered the gates in front of the arena, you had to
